Well, we’re ticking down to the last hours of the year now. I don’t know about you but for me it seems like the end of the year always puts me in a strange mood, and whether this is good or bad thing is pretty debatable. For example, the finality of a year coming to an end and forcing me to face the prospect of a blank and empty new year sort of freaks me out a little, but on the flip side I’m very much looking forward to my, so to speak, clean slate.
So how was your year? Did it seem to go by quickly or was it a long one for you? Mine went by so fast, crazy fast, but looking back I feel like it was a great year overall and I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m trying to adopt a no regrets attitude going into this year because life is too short to dwell in the past, you know? Notice I said “trying” though. I mean, if it were that easy to flip our human nature off like a switch then our lives would be a whole lot easier. News flash; it’s not. Hey, but I think anyone deserves and A for trying. 🙂
Alright, now it’s that time of year for me to reveal the recipes that you all liked most from this year, but before I do that I just wanted to thank you all. Honestly, I always feel like it’s going to sound corny and fake when I say this kind of thing, but in as genuine of a way as I can say it, I really mean it. This blog has been so many things to me these past (Wow, almost 3 years!) but I obviously couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks for sticking with me up to now and thanks for your sweet, loving comments and awesome support. You da bestest!
Okee Doke, so here are the top ten recipes on the blog this year. I find it hilarious yet predictable that over 50% of them include chocolate. Clearly that’s a good indication that I need to be sure this next year has plenty more where that came from ’cause we’re obviously all suffering from the same addiction, hehe. 😉 I wish you all the best and brightest New Years weekend and then an even better 365 days to follow!
